Maria Byron, MD

Associate Professor

Dr. Maria Byron is a specialist in internal medicine and clinical informatics, and a primary care doctor. She is a Professor of Medicine in the Division of General Internal Medicine as well as the Division of Clinical Informatics and Digital Transformation.

Dr. Byron serves as the Associate Chief Medical Information Officer for Ambulatory Care at UCSF Health, providing clinical and strategic leadership for implementing digital solutions across outpatient settings. She leads the ambulatory informatics team with a focus on optimizing the clinician experience and solving the most pressing challenges in ambulatory care delivery, using world class technology to advance exceptional patient care and innovation.
